I Love a Clean San Diego

We’re going to show a little love for the beautiful beachfront in San Diego by participating in a great beach clean-up!  With I Love a Clean San Diego, which has been working to keep San Diego clean since 1954, we’ll be traveling to Fiesta Island, where we’ll learn how to safely pick up trash from the beach while enjoying the warm seaside.  To keep things lively, we’ll play Trash Bingo in the sand!  Our trash will be weighed at the end—you’ll be amazed at how much we can accomplish in just 2 hours!

To learn more about I Love a Clean San Diego, visit cleansd.org. All attendees will need to sign a waiver upon their arrival at the beach for the clean-up.

  • Buy your tickets early! Add to your conference registration. Tickets will be available for sale during the conference based on availability. Cost per ticket is $25, in addition to the conference registration fee. 

    All attendees must wear their conference badge, which includes the special event icon. All attendees must pass through a security checkpoint that includes metal detectors.

From medical must-knows to pop culture and everything in between, this is your chance to show off your smarts and connect with colleagues. Prizes, bragging rights, and a whole lot of fun await!

AAP Friends of Children Fund 5K Fun Run & Walk

Along the historic boardwalk bordered by the beautiful San Diego Bay, we’ll take our annual 5K Fun Run & Walk  next to the water.  Whether on a leisurely stroll or an all-out run, come breathe in the fresh air while you enjoy the sun and sand.

Meet at the Marina Terrace at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. Warm-up will begin at 6:45 AM and the run will start at 7:00 AM. 

Participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt. Bibs and t-shirts can be picked up from Conference Services near Registration in the San Diego Convention Center.  

Shuttle bus transportation will be provided on all routes at 6:30 AM. For detailed shuttle bus information, please see the shuttle schedule in the conference app or platform.

If you haven’t purchased your ticket, please visit Conference Registration in the San Diego Convention Center. Cost is $25 per adult and $20 per child (12 and under), in addition to the conference registration fee.
