2020 Continuing Medical Education Credit Claim Details

As an attendee of the 2020 Virtual National Conference & Exhibition, you are responsible for calculating, claiming and recording your AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ in the online AAP Transcript System by January 31, 2021, and will also have the option of printing a copy of your certificate.  Individual or paper certificates will not be distributed.

Calculate Your Credit

Your AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ will calculate via the Virtual Conference Platform:

  • Add sessions, programs, and events to ‘My Schedule’ by selecting the star icon next to each session. Please note, only content in which you participated should be selected. Including schedule items in which you did not participate will overvalue your credit calculation.
  • Your credit total will appear at the bottom of ‘My Schedule’ based on your selections. 

Note: The total calculation from ‘My Schedule’ will include the maximum number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for each session. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Claim Credit and Print a Certificate of Participation

Claim Credit

Credits must be claimed by January 31, 2021. Only individuals who have logged into the Virtual Conference Platform and participated in the activity (attending or viewing at least one live and/or on-demand session) will be allowed to claim credit.

Please note, by claiming credit, you are attesting that you have completed all aspects of this CME activity for which you intend to claim AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ commensurate with the extent of your participation, and do not intend to claim any additional credit. Once credit is claimed in the AAP Transcript system, you will not be able to change the amount of credit claimed. Because credit can only be claimed once, please do not claim credit until you have completed all live and/or on-demand sessions in which you plan to participate.

Activity participants must claim credit online, with the option to print a copy of your certificate: 

  1. Log on to http://transcript.aap.org with your AAP Username and Password.
    • If you do not have a PediaLink account, you may create one by going to www.pedialink.org, click the link Don’t Know Your Login?, click the link Create an Account, and follow the instructions to setup an account.
  2. Navigate to the ‘2020 Virtual National Conference & Exhibition’
    • Next to ‘2020 Virtual National Conference & Exhibition’, click the Claim CME or Claim AAP Credit Only link
    • Enter the total number of credits you calculated within the Virtual Conference Platform, commensurate with the extent of your participation in the activity
  3. Click the Confirm Claiming box to complete claiming process. After you have claimed your credit, you can click the print certificate link or go back to your list of activities.

Print a Certificate of Participation

  1. After you have added in your total number of credits, click Activities in the main navigation bar. Navigate to ‘2020 Virtual National Conference & Exhibition’
  2. Select the View Certificate link
  3. Select Certificate Type, then Generate Certificate
  4. Select Print or Download button

Record Your Credit

AAP Members and PediaLink Subscribers have complimentary access to view and print yearly CME transcripts

  1. Log on to http://transcript.aap.org with your AAP Username and Password
  2. Click the Annual Transcripts link in the upper navigation menu of the transcript system (http://transcript.aap.org) to access and print a yearly transcript report.
  3. Select Your Profession, Select Year and click View Transcript At the top of the page, you may print or download the transcript.
  4. If you request the AAP to send you a print copy of your transcript, there is a $25.00 charge for each year requested. This can be ordered by calling 866/843-2271.  Please have the following information available for your request:
    • Your name
    • Your AAP ID number
    • Email address
    • The year(s) requested
    • Your credit card number (only accepted by phone)

Non-AAP Members
