The Colorado Convention Center is the heart of the 2025 National Conference & Exhibition and will house registration, Connections Corner, educational sessions, exhibits, and plenary sessions. The convention center is surrounded by multiple conference hotels and will be filled with exciting activities each day!

Across the street from the Colorado Convention Center, the Hyatt Regency Denver will be the host to many AAP Section/Council Programs and committee meetings.

Denver Area Airport and Rail Information

Call the AAP Travel Office early to take advantage of the lowest fares and best flight options when you book travel to attend the 2025 National Conference in Denver.

Denver International Airport is located approximately 20 miles (32 km) from the convention center and takes about 30 minutes by car in light traffic.  The A-Line train is also available between the airport to downtown Union Station, travel time is 37 minutes plus another 5-10 minutes by car to the convention center.

Denver International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world with over 77 million passengers traveling through in the last year. DEN features award-winning architecture and magnificent views of the Rocky Mountains, creating a unique atmosphere for travelers. Jeppesen Terminal’s internationally recognized peaked roof, designed by Fentress Bradburn Architects, is reflective of snow-capped mountains and evokes the early history of Colorado.

For National Conference & Exhibition attendees traveling from the western United States, a great alternative to flying or driving is Amtrak California Zephyr Service. Denver Union Station is located 1 mile (1.6 km) away from the convention center and takes about 5-10 minutes by car.

Union Station is located in the heart of downtown Denver. The renovated 1914 Beaux-Arts train station is home to chef-owned restaurants, bars, and boutiques. It is also the transportation hub for The Mile High City, offering access to RTD’s front-range bus route, the free 16th Street Mallshuttle, and the light rail network.

Rental Cars

Most major car rental companies have facilities at Denver International Airport.

The AAP is pleased to offer the following car rental discounts, generally 5%-10% off regular rental rates.  Please follow the instructions below when booking on the car rental company’s website.

  • Zipcar: AAP members who enroll will receive $45 off first annual membership and a waived application fee ($25).

Please note that daily parking fees are charged at the convention center and all National Conference & Exhibition hotels (where available).

Taxi and Ride Share

Taxis, Lyfts, and Ubers in Colorado are permitted to drop off/pick up at the corner of 14th and Stout Street.

Parking

The Colorado Convention Center has an onsite covered parking garage. Parking rates based on number of hours. Parking spaces are on a first-come, first served basis. 

Handicapped Accessible Parking:

Designated handicapped parking is available on all three levels of the parking garage. A valid state-issued handicapped placard or license plate is required. All disability parking is on a first-come, first-serve basis and requires payment at the automated pay stations.
