We understand that due to COVID-19 you may be hesitant to register for an in-person event, so we have updated our cancellation policy. You may cancel your National Conference registration at any time until September 24, two weeks prior to the start of the conference, for a full refund of your registration fee. All registration changes/cancellations must be sent in writing to our email by September 24, 2021.

Most hotels are within walking distance to the Convention Center. The furthest properties are approximately a 10 minute walk. Shuttle buses will not be provided.
Yes, some hotels including the headquarter hotels, are very popular and usually sell out within the first day of opening. We recommend you request to be placed on a waitlist.

Members need their AAP ID/login/username and password to make a reservation June 15 – June 21. Beginning June 22 at 10 CDT, no special information is needed.
Turnaround time should be fairly quick to be able to access early member housing. Memberships are activated at the time payment is processed. For those memberships that do require additional information, payments are not processed until after their documentation is received/verified. Depending on the membership category, there might be some application documentation required (e.g. for specialty fellows).

A Lactation Lounge will be available in the convention center and open daily. The complimentary lounge will offer hospital-grade pumps, refrigerated milk storage, and other equipment for each mother in a comfortable and private setting.
Safety Precautions Due to COVID-19: As we approach the in-person meeting scheduled for Oct 8-12 in Philadelphia, the AAP will seek guidance from local and national public health experts on implementing the necessary safety precautions to ensure the health and safety of all attendees, staff and local community. Please check back as the National Conference approaches for further updates.
While there may be a few events where meals are included (President’s Welcome Reception, Annual Business Lunch for members, etc.), generally meals are not included with registration.
